Fausto Coppi's postwar Bianchi kit serves as the inspiration for the 2008 Team TATI uniforms.
IBEX of Vermont will be producing for tops and bottoms in very lightweight technical wool. Wool is far more breathable than synthetic fibers and the New Zealand stuff used here is the finest available. The jersey fronts will be restrained and very minimal, with the TATI and IBEX logos embroidered at the chest.
The rear of the jerseys will have double reinforced triple pockets and the TATI and IBEX iconographic logos embroidered vertically. Smaller riders will receive custom tailoring of their jerseys in order to ensure a good fit.
The Amparo long sleeve jersey is an optional element of the kit. This photo shows the jersey with the IBEX knickers. IBEX will also provide warmers (arm, leg, knee), and a few other pieces yet to be determined. These photos don't really do the kits justice. Many of the IBEX pieces are nice enough to wear casually, and layered merino makes for a luxurious, chic silhouette.
Orange and black is a very classic combination, and not too popular here in the midwestern racing scene. Our riders should be highly visible at a distance and in the crowd. We'll have to talk about helmets, base layers, and the like eventually... but these aren't big priorities right now.
Yup, there's a lot of potential down the line for orange kit.
The Nau Acoustic jacket doubles as a technical rain jacket and super stylish après vélo wear. Highly breathable and extremely water resistant, the Acoustic makes an excellent training garment for Chicago's sometimes difficult climate. It is soft and form fitting, with both women's and men's cuts. Best of all, the jacket is cut from 82% recycled post-consumer plastic and has a clean, matte finish to keep lint and fur from clinging to the shell. |
