Polo on the Midway

• Spread the word: bicycle polo is coming to Hyde Park this spring.

  What?

  • Why, it's polo with bicycles instead of horses. It's a classic, beautiful sport.
  • Casual, friendly, and fun pickup matches for novices and experts alike
  • Free! (The HPCC will provide mallets and balls)
  • Once a week, probably on a weekday early evening
  • Kids are welcome to come watch, and if we might even field a juniors league if there is sufficient interest

  Who?

  Anyone can play, as long as you have a bicycle and a helmet. But you really should join the HPCC if you enjoy the activity and would like to see more of the same flourish in the neighborhood. In fact, it is my understanding that there are at least two ringers in the neighborhood who will hopefully exhibit the finest polo form for the the punters to emulate.

  No violence, dangerous riding, alcohol, or testosterone, please. You will be banished to the sidelines if you exhibit unseemly behavior.
