The color scheme is unique. The frame is powder coated matte black but has dark grey wet painted panels finished with black hand pin stripes. Red anodized accents on the cable ends are repeats on the Ritchey fork logo and the Velocity Aerohead rims.
The bicycle has two wheelsets for seasonal use. The primary road set are 32h 3X Velocity Aerohead rims laced to black Velocity hubs using 14/15g DT Swiss spokes. They are shod with Panaracer 700x25c RIBMOs for invincibility. The "fast" set are black Campagnolo Ventos (24/27h) paired with 23c Schwalbe Ultremos and latex tubes.
The black Brooks B17 saddle is perched atop a Thomson seatpost. The drivetrain is 2008 Campagnolo Chorus, utilizing a compact double carbon crankset. Finally, feedback is provided by a Cateye V2C computer, which unfortunately hides a lovely Thomson X2 stem.
This bike is light, stiff, comfortable, and beautiful. And it's just about as custom as custom gets.
